Working with a wide range of mediums and found materials, using video, sound, print and sculpture, Alice Mahoney’s work explores the seductive nature of surface, materials, and forms, and how they can profoundly affect our experience.
Biography
Mahoney’s work investigates desire in popular culture, questioning why and how we are attracted to things. She is interested in how objects can be presented to us – differently as a consumer or as a viewer in other contexts.
