Sound – Image – Text
Artists and local people were invited to join arts organisation CAMP for an afternoon of making & networking on Saturday 26th March 12 noon -4pm. The event was free and open to all (you didn’t have to be a CAMP member) to drop in throughout the afternoon.
There were numerous drop in activities to get involved with throughout the day, from sessions exploring sound, image and text to opportunities for networking with other artists, as well as an opportunity to create a piece for Soundart radio.
12pm: A Sculpture That Wants to Get Made
A group reading of KINsequences, a co-created and illustrated text by CAMP’s Writer’s KIN group. There will be the opportunity to join in and ask questions.
1pm: Shared Lunch
A chance to meet and hear about CAMP and Soundart Radio.
Gabi Marcellus-Temple, CAMP’s new Inclusive Growth Coordinator will also be there to chat about CAMP and introduce people to each other.
2 – 3pm: Making
Working together, we will create multi-layered concertina booklets.
3 – 4pm: Create a Soundscape
Working with Soundart Radio, we’ll create a soundscape of the immediate environment.
