Sheila Ivey

Open Evening: Saturday 19th January 2013 –  6.00 – 8.00pm

Sheila Ivey is a second year Fine Art student at Falmouth University. The focus and ethos of Ivey’s work begins with an intricate and complex relationship with the concepts of confinement, containment and entrapment. Her work encompasses the human experience of fear, vulnerability and control. The work presented here “Living Canvas” involved Ivey wearing an all-enveloping skin suit which she invited the audience to paint and draw on over the hour’s performance. Back Lane West offers you the opportunity of viewing the record of this performance.
