Katharine Platts and Phoebe Bray

Katharine Platts and Phoebe Bray are our artists in residence for August and September 2022. Their collaborative practice reimagines the Cornish landscape, myths and culture through a science fiction lense.

During their residency they plan to develop their skills in moving image, audio and installation, with particular emphasis on technological processes. By combining these with other mediums, such as photography, text and image transfer, they will build an immersive, sensorial landscape within the Back Lane West project space.

Katharine and Phoebe aim to utilise this period of time to expand beyond their Fine Art backgrounds towards creating immersive audio / visual events and experiences for alternative environments and audiences.

Follow the project as it develops on instagram @leifang2022
They will also be announcing events taking place as part of their residency on this platform.

The artists have kindly been supported by CAMP through their Artist Studio Residency grant.
